My favourite video games

Here's a list of my favourite games! I don't spend a huge amount gaming to be honest. Last year I was addicted to Overwatch, but I've been "clean" for a few months now. I had to stop playing during exams anyway. Nowadays I play steam games on my shitty laptop, usually with music in the background to hype me up. Heh, I'm just cool like that I guess (pushes up glasses).

Now, my favourite videogame of all time is probably ultrakill. Released in 2020, it's an indie fps published by New Blood Interactive. You play as a vampiric robot named "V1" as you traverse through hell. The whole thing is based on Dante's inferno with the different circles of hell and the deadly sins. There's some very interesting "hellish technological dystopia" mixed with bible fanfiction lore going on, but it's mainly an excuse to have a robot fight demons, sinners and angels with ridiculously violent weapons. Blood aside though, it's quite a cute game. Even the low-poly Demons have a silly charm to them. I guess that's what happens when you make a game called "ultrakill".

Oh and the soundtrack is the bomb. Seriously, the creator Hakita went nuts with the boss battle music, it's nearly up there with the undertale and minecraft soundtracks. I cannot glaze this swedish developer enough.

Also, the game is heavily inspired by DOOM, and the style meter is apparently borrowed from the Devil May Cry series.

I think that for a game with a small budget, the sheer amount of talent displayed is jawdropping. And because it's not a AAA game, it's runs on almost any computer, although sometimes I have to turn down the blood effects to improve my framerate
