I bet you're wondering what all this is about.
For those of you who aren't sold on the idea of making a website, here's my pitch: It would be cool and you know it
But Naut, you say, I don't know how to code! Well neither did I when I started making this site. Honestly making your own website is super easy.
Beautifying your website using CSS and Javascript? That's a bit trickier, but you can always follow tutorials
You may have noticed, my website is hosted by "neocities.org". Websites need to run on a server so they can be accessible 24/7. So neocities lets you make a website for free, with up to 1GB of space! Honestly I'm not sure how profitable their buisness model is, they do take donations. I'm not complaining. There's plenty of domains that will host a website for you though, neocities is just the friendliest.
so, what are you waiting for? Grab a laptop (I wouldn't reccomend coding on a phone or tablet, tho you can), go to neocities.org, login, and follow the tutorials to creat your own website!
Websites are written in the language html, although it's so easy it barely qualifies as a coding language
Fun fact: the world's first website, was a tutorial on how to write html so other people could make their own websites!
Anyway, just go for it! let the other websites on neocities inspire you!
Having your own personal website to fill with your favourite things and customise is well worth a few hours of learning.
It's going to look ugly to start with, but you just need to persevere with learning CSS
What's CSS? It's the "style" language for websites, it dictates colour and position and font and many other things. The neocities tutorial will explain better than me
